Privacy Policy

The short version

Anchor collects what it needs to work. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with anyone except the services required to actually run the app (Stripe for billing, Anthropic for the AI features). You can delete your account any time.

What we collect

When you sign up: your name, email address, role (partner or expecting mom), and due date. That's it for the account itself.

As you use the app, we also store:

  • Food scan history, including any photos you upload and the results we return
  • Posts and replies you submit to the community
  • Your partner link, if you use the invite feature
  • Billing info handled through Stripe (we never see your full card number)

How we use it

To run the app. The due date powers the week guide and tells us where you are in the pregnancy. The food scans get sent to Anthropic's API to generate the safety verdict. The advisor uses your partner's mood input to generate a response. We don't use any of it for advertising.

Third parties

Stripe handles all billing. When you subscribe, your payment information goes directly to Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription ID. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.

Anthropic powers the food scanner and the advisor. Photos you upload and advisor inputs are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy is at anthropic.com/privacy.

We don't use any other third-party analytics, ad networks, or tracking tools.

Data storage

Your data is stored on Railway, a cloud hosting platform. Data is stored in the United States. Railway's privacy policy is at railway.app/legal/privacy.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to delete your account, or ask any other question about what we store by emailing us at the address below. We'll respond within 30 days.

Kids

Anchor is for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you think we have, let us know and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If something meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top and, if it's a big change, send an email to all users.
